Hard magnetic material, which is also known as Permanent Magnetic alloy, includes 2J4/2J9/2J10/2J12/2J31/2J64/2J85 etc.

Its main materials are Co(Cobalt),V(vanadium),Mo(Molybdenum) and W(tungsten). It has very little Nickel compared with 3J and 4J alloy.

2J9 is a popular grade of Hard magnetic material. It has more vanadium than 2J7 alloy.

Knowledge about our Test Machine

A dilatometer is an instrument used to measure the change in volume or dimensions of a material when subjected to temperature changes. Dilatometers are widely used to study the thermal expansion properties of materials, particularly in the fields of materials science and engineering.

The main types of dilatometers include:

  1. Thermomechanical Analyzers (TMA): Measure the length change of a sample under a constant load as the temperature changes.

  2. Dilatometers: Measure the volume change of a sample as the temperature changes.

  3. Laser Dilatometers: Use lasers to measure the expansion of a sample, providing high-precision data on length changes.

Applications of dilatometers include:

  • Studying the thermal expansion coefficient of materials at different temperatures.

  • Evaluating the dimensional stability of materials during heating or cooling processes.

  • Investigating phase transitions in materials, such as melting points and glass transition temperatures.

These instruments have wide applications in materials science, physics, chemistry, and engineering, helping scientists and engineers better understand and control the thermal properties of materials.
