Customer demand

The customer is an enterprise engaged in the manufacture of Marine engineering equipment, and needs a corrosion-resistant, lightweight and high-strength titanium alloy for the manufacture of offshore platform structural parts. The specific requirements include:

Corrosion resistance: can be used in seawater and high salt spray environment for a long time, corrosion resistance life is not less than 15 years.

High strength: to maintain structural stability under extreme load, tensile strength needs to reach 850 MPa or more.

Lightweight: The material density should be less than 5 g/cm³ to reduce the overall weight of the platform.

Weldability: The material must support a high quality welding process to ensure the strength of the connection.

Choose Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy, which combines lightweight, high strength and excellent corrosion resistance.

Surface treatment
